HI Chris. I like the perspective! I was also interested in adventure as a core value for you. Its etymology is: adventura (res) “(a thing) about to happen,” from adventurus, future participle of advenire “to come to, reach, arrive at,” from ad- “to” (see ad-) + venire “to come” (see venue).
So maybe new eyes is about being available in the moment for “what is about to happen”, so that you can experience its full intensity.
